The PMA (The Property Management Association) hosted an incredible event last Thursday evening honoring the DC Metro Area's most outstanding apartment communities. The PACE (PMA Apartment Community Excellence Awards) celebration took place at Martin's Crosswinds in Greenbelt, MD, and welcomed over 30 area property management companies as well as rental industry vendors. 

More than 170 communities, housing over 90,000 DC area residents, competed for the prestigious PACE honor. The event was judged by a reputable panel of property management professionals who boasted over 290 years of combined experience. 



All national capital area apartment communities were welcomed to participate in this year's event. The PACE awards competition categories were based on average monthly rent of participants. A minimum score was required for award consideration, which weighted the point evaluation on multiple criteria including appearance, amenities, resident services, resident retention, operations and marketing outreach.  Additionally, those properties who excelled in modern technology, green-friendliness, and management and resident service were honored with the notable Judge's Choice award. 

 

The 3rd annual PACE Awards event was certainly a huge success. Attendees enjoyed Kate Good, a nationally recognized multifamily expert, on the emcee, a delicious cocktail hour (including an ice cream bar!), flowing aperitifs, an exciting raffle with top notch gifts....and a wild prop-filled photo booth sponsored by Rentals Gone Wild!
