Originally built in 2002 by Federal Realty Investment Trust, The Crest at Congressional Plaza is managed by ROSS Management Services and is ranked as a Top Rated community by Apartment Ratings. On June 6, 2014, the 146 unit boutique community unveiled a $4.8 million dollar renovation. The honor of cutting the ribbon, at the ribbon cutting ceremony, was held by the Mayor of Rockville, MD, Bridget Donnell Newton, and the VP, Mid-Atlantic Region Chief Operating Officer for Federal Realty Investment Trust, Robin McBride.

The renovations, designed by award-winning architect, Mark McInturff, and local interior designer, Mary Lohre, include a new outdoor cafe area, new swimming pool and sun deck area, updated patios for select homes, refreshed amenity spaces and upgraded apartment interiors. McBride stated that the intent of the extensive renovations was to "redesign a living space that met the current market demand for modern and luxurious common area spaces."  Interior apartment improvements include new porcelain flooring, modern luxury kitchens, hotel-inspired bathrooms and designer lighting packages.

In addition to these amazing updates, residents continue to enjoy the conveniences that The Crest at Congressional Plaza has offered since it's inception.
