The Report Offers Detailed Information about Average Rental Rates in the Washington DC Area as well as Predictions for the Summer Rental Season

Rentals Gone Wild, a free and personalized DC apartment finder service, have just released a DC Apartment Market Report that includes information from their collection of over 5,000 listings in the DC area. This helpful market report gives an in-depth look at the DC average rental rates as well as what they are expecting for the summer rental season.

The timing for the new apartment market report could not be better; summer is here, and since it is the middle of renter season, people who are looking to move into or within the area are looking for specials on rates, detailed listings and other helpful information.

The average rent in one of DC's most expensive neighborhoods comes to $2,775, which almost rivals San Francisco and New York. DC's NoMa region has 1 bedrooms averaging at $2,116. One of DC's newest neighborhoods, Navy Yard, has 1 bedrooms averaging at $2,056.

The DC apartment finder service is also reporting that apartment specials are still active throughout the DC metro area. We’re seeing an increase in rates, however, there are several brand new communities on the market, which means tons of incentives for renters. For example the newest apartment in downtown Alexandria has one bedrooms starting in the low $1,700's. You can also find one bedrooms for less than $2,000 and two months free at some of the newer NoMa apartments.

Those who are able to live in other DC areas can find apartment rates that are quite a bit lower. As the DC Apartment Market Report notes, apartments in the Silver Spring, Alexandria and Arlington neighborhoods start around $1,300 to $1,500 a month.

By providing useful information about the current rental market in Washington DC and the surrounding areas, we hope to help make the search process less stressful.
